What is CPR?

CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is a method used to save someone when their breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Learning how to perform CPR can become very useful in life, especially because often times delaying CPR until advanced medical help arrives can be too late.

Always remember to first call 911, then perform CPR if you are CPR certified.

Every drowning victim, even one who requires only minimal resuscitation before recovery, requires transport and evaluation at a medical facility. (American Heart Association)
