Swim Instructors Adaptive Aquatics
Certification Scholarship

The Florida Department of Health in Broward County (DOH-Broward) and the Children’s Services Council of Broward County (CSC) have established the Swim Instructors Adaptive Aquatics Certification Program to increase the number of qualified swim instructors serving Broward County families with individuals who have autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities. The CSC-funded program will offer scholarships that cover the full cost of certification training for qualified swim instructors.

The initiative’s focus is to reduce child drownings in Broward County and expand access to specially trained swim instructors throughout Broward County. Certification training will be provided through the Els for Autism Foundation® fully online Ernie Els #GameON Autism® MARINO Adaptive Aquatics Certification Program.
